How to use

This is ordinary sequence with standard settings.

-Execute NRTDRV.EXE.
-Select MML file with "File(F)" -> "Open(O)".

"New File(N)" creates "NEWFILE.MML". Put appropriate name into the form of "File(F)" -> "Open(O)" if you want to make new file with other name.If there is a file with the same name, existed file is selected.

-Notepad (or relate application to MML file) opens MML file and watches timestamp.
-Every time you edit and override the MML file, detect update of timestamp and MML file is automatically compiled.
-After compile, hoot starts (as default) and plays music data (note:2). Choice one from hoot, ASLPLAY or nrdplay.

Compiled music data is stored in the same directory as MML file according to settings. NRD files are music data itself and ZIP archives are for hoot. LOG files are the logs (text) of compile.

"NRTDRV.Sys" is generated in the same directory as NRTDRV.EXE. Refer the chapter of "How to play with real X1 or X1 emulators" for details.

OPM and PSG tone settings are written as a comment in the newly generated MML file. Use it as a template according to your purpose.

If your music is not changed while edited MML is normally compiled, it might be caused by the cache if hoot. Enable the check of "restart hoot when compile" in the case.
