Settings

MML edit application

Select associated application with MML files. MML files are open with associated files by default but uou can use notepad if it is not associated.

(Player setting->)hoot related setting

Select whether to use hoot to play music data and to restart hoot when starts compile.

Both of them are enabled by default. Every time when MML is compiled, hoot window is once closed and hoot executed to play it after compile is finished.

Once you disable restart, compile is executed with hoot running. If music data archiving is locked by some reason, MML edit does not reflect playing the data. Enable it in such case if you need.

(Player setting->)ASLPLAY setting

Select whether to use ASLPLAY to play music data and to record NLG or S98 file while playing. Options to ASLPLAY can be selected here.

(Player setting->)nrdplay setting

Select whether to use nrdplay to play music data. You can play sound for adjusting volume balances and set transfer speed by executing scciconfig.exe here.

(Player setting->)MDPlayer setting

Select whether to use MDPlayer to play music data. You should select the place of MDPlayer here. MDPlayer can be located appropriate directory.

(Player setting->)Command line setting

You can execute appropriate command when play music data. Other players can be used with it, for example you can play music and open it with binary editor at a time.

If you enable "add NRD file name when execute command", add the NRD file name with full-path to the end if command line.

Note: It does not any error checks and NRTDRV.EXE itself causes error when command cannot be executed normally(for example, in case specified execute files does not exist).

How to display error messages

Select where to show error messages, inside the main window or dialog box.

Error messages are displayed in the main window with beep sound by default.

Error messages other than compile process, for example file related errors, are displayed in dialog box.

Watching clipboard and paste to search box

If you select this, contents in clipboard is copied to search box.

Copy command lines with Ctrl+C key when you want check syntax during MML edit. If it matches command names or header names, it replaced with appropriate search word and you can smoothly search the word.

Watch clipboard and display short explanations

If you select this, when contents in clipboard matches commands or headers of NRTDRV short dialog for explanation is displayed.

Copy the command name by typing Ctrl + C key, when you want to check syntax while editing MML. Explanation is shown. It is easy and convenient.

Start compile soon after file selected

If you select this, compile and playing music are executed soon after you open MML file. It is disabled by default and compile is executed only when time stamp is modified.

Display progress during compile

This is selected by default in standard settings and shows progress during MML compile. If you want to do compile faster, unselect it.

Display count viewer after compile

This is selected by default in standard settings and shows counts in every tracks after MML compile. The graph points the end of the music (2-4 phrases) and 1 dot means 2 counts.

Playing monitor with NRTDRV.Sys

This is selected by default in standard settings and shows keyboards and level meters when playing on real X1 or X1 emulator.

Playing music takes priority over displaying so when of playing increases, displaying is not renewed. You might better to unselect it in case that record the music on real X1 or severe timing is needed.

oOc treated as a rest only in key board displaying and not displayed (but played).

OPM tone editor with NRTDRV

This is not selected by default in standard settings. If you select this, OPM tone editor is available when you play musics in real X1 or X1 emulators.

and shows keyboards and level meters when playing on real X1 or X1 emulator.

Serial port linking with real X1 after compile

It enables hi-speeded serial linking to real X1 with remote booting environment "HSSIO" , which is full-duplex serial communication module developed by X1 Center.

Reboot lorder on real X1 when compile starts

If it is selected, loader is rebooted automatically on real X1 connected via serial port when start compile. It is available only when runs NRTDRV player on real X1.

If you unselect this, you can reboot leader by NMI switch. It is useful if your serial cross cable does not support interlink.

Transport the system to real X1 every time when serial port links

If you select this system programs, such as music driver itself and loader, are transferred every time when communicate via serial port.

Specify port number used for serial port linking.
